Writers in Business

11:00 AM

Writers in business resemble the underdogs in life; great skills that's in demand, great talent
but it takes a lifetime for them to be appreciated or recognised.
At any business they must have a writer on board; or at least someone with the "skill".
It is true that almost all writers need to have a second job, cause no one gives them the credit they deserve or pay is far from good.

Writers are the masters of communication in adversing, marketing, social media, promotions or the least of manual scripts, (they all need text) so they all need a content writer, since companies are not interested to hire a writer they look for a freelancer instead! -Even I do it.
But I'm smart enough to have built a career on my writing skill, and for that reason I decided to write a post about content marketing.

I'll start this by dividing content writers into the obvious two...

Creative writing and cliché writing.
- Creative writing:
Creativity is more of a gift than a skill developed; you can learn "smart writing" but it's not the same as writing creatively.

What is Creativity?
Creativity is the ability to generate new ideas and new connections between ideas, and ways to solve problems in any field or realm of our lives or business.

Edward de Bono saied: "There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns."

And this is what we find in cliché writing
- Cliché writing:
Writing something that has been written before in the same exact way (copy-paste method) or rephrasing it but in the same way.

Now I will display few examples of content writing for social media as "slogans" to get a glimpse of the difference.

Chicken Wings:
Slogan #1: Licking good
Cliché because it's wording KFC's slogan "finger licking good"

Slogan #2: Get them chicken wings
Original  not the best out there, but you are one step away from going YEEHAA

Hotel Service:
Slogan #1: At your service
Cliché you must've heard it a million time before

Slogan #2: Tap that!
Original cause that's all you need to do (for us to be at your service) plus twisted minded will tap the like button

Water Flask:
Your call here, which is Original and which is Cliché?
---

This is the shortest most easiest job you can give a creative writer, but it can be quite difficult to the uncreative.
